ABOUT THE GENERATION GAMES
Can you beat the nail pooping champion of 2020? Can you beat your grandmother in our BBQ games, or your son in basketball? This is the moment you can prove your skills to the rest of the family or your friends!
Generation Games is an inter-generational, worldwide community sports event where everyone can participate. The venue is designed in a way that allows people of all ages and abilities to experience new and traditional sports in a festive environment. The event is about generations sharing and learning from each other.
ABOUT THE SALEM GENERATION GAMES
In 2017, Salem became the only city in North America to host the Generation Games! On Saturday, March 23, 2024, the Generation Games will be back in Salem for the 5th year. The games will once again take place @Salem State University. This time it will be in collaboration with the first SSU Youth Sports & Pride Day Celebration!
Salem is a New England bedrock of history and is considered one of the most significant seaports in American history. The city is known for the witch trials in the 17th century and is famous for celebrating Halloween. Salem is home to a number of sport and recreational facilities. These facilities allow for the City of Salem to support and encourage active participation in sports and recreation for all generations.
The Salem 2024 edition will offer a chance to register for youth sports or camps, participate in games ranging from flag football to lego challenges to pokemon and more, as well as many other activities and sports. Youth with local lacrosse and baseball programs will get to go out on the field at the start of the SSU Men's & Women's Lacrosse Games as well as at the start of the 2nd game of the Men's Baseball double header.

HOW ARE THE TEAMS COMPOSED?
We encourage people of different ages to spend time together to celebrate sport! Get a team of 2 to 6 people together, including several generations. There may be sisters, fathers, grandparents, aunts, cousins and neighbors. You do not have to be members of the same family as long as you want to move and play together with one another as a team. It’s all about fun for all the participating generations!
HOW DOES THE EVENT WORK?
Teams of all generations will take in all kind of different sports and games during the event.
